The idea behind Cloud Walking is the dream of a world that exists beyond this one. We believe humans can exist as more than our animal natures, we can be FOR each other and help each other transcend anything.
It’s easy to be negative. We seek to rise above.
We seek to rise above in the coffee that we choose from importers- choosing small lots from importers with high transparency ensuring better treatment of the land and workers and, of course, the coffee itself
We seek to rise above in the way we source things— using as many local ingredients from farmers we trust as we can get our hands on
We seek to rise above in the way we run our cafe - honoring both our employees and customers as human beings as in need of grace as we are
We seek to rise above in the way we respond to criticism- knowing that people may not understand or like the way we do things, and that’s okay
We seek to rise above in the space we create — a safe space that is “for everyone” except those who are un-accepting of anyone else.
